This Diamond Terrapin had accidently been caught by a fisherman and was safely returned to the water.

Diamondback Terrapin's were almost hunted to extinction for their meat, but protective legislation has  allowed this species to recover.

However, habitat loss and accidental capture in crab traps continues to stress these unique, salt marsh reptiles.

Below I am aiding a Laughing Gull accidently entangled in fishing line. After all the line was removed I released the gull unharmed. 

It is essential to remove all the fishing line from an entangled bird, even if the bird can still fly. 

Trailing line will eventually wrap around branches and kill the bird.

Hooks should also be removed by securing the bird or covering its head with a towel, cutting the barb off, and backing the hook out.

Cushioned seating for up to 5 passengers.
